Hi Everyone! I challenged myself today by creating a card for a guy. I don't do a lot of manly cards and this was definitely outside of my comfort zone. The metal accents were my way of making it more "rustic" and I attempted distressing the gold mesh behind the image.
The navy paper is textured with a wood pattern embossing folder, then scored randomly with a bone folder, then crumpled (and uncrumpled), and finally distressed. Needless to say, I was enjoying myself trying to come up with a background that looked like denim.
This image is Saxophone Luka from La La Land Stamps and is colored with Copics.
This week I am playing along at
Cardz 4 Guyz in their "Music" challenge. Also I'm joining in the fun at
Retro Rubber Stamps (RRCB116). This Luka stamp I've had for seven or eight years and I've only used it a couple of times, but it is so cute! Their challenge was tic-tac-toe so I chose Texture, Ribbon, and Romance. Hope you enjoy!
