Let It Snow`

I hadn't realized how long it's been since I've posted! Here is a cute snow globe card using La La Land Crafts snowman set and snow globe dies. We got a little snow on Christmas Eve this year, but most of it is now melted, so at least I can pretend it's snowing with this card! This was my first attempt with Distress Oxide inks for the sky of the snow globe and I added some fake snow to the slopes.

I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week which is the theme Let It Snow. I'm also entering it into the My Favorite Things sketch challenge this week which fit the snow globe perfectly.

I'll work on getting some of my other recent cards posted as well. Thanks for stopping by!

An August Valentine

Hi Everyone! I challenged myself today by creating a card for a guy. I don't do a lot of manly cards and this was definitely outside of my comfort zone. The metal accents were my way of making it more "rustic" and I attempted distressing the gold mesh behind the image.

The navy paper is textured with a wood pattern embossing folder, then scored randomly with a bone folder, then crumpled (and uncrumpled), and finally distressed. Needless to say, I was enjoying myself trying to come up with a background that looked like denim.

This image is Saxophone Luka from La La Land Stamps and is colored with Copics.

This week I am playing along at Cardz 4 Guyz in their "Music" challenge. Also I'm joining in the fun at Retro Rubber Stamps (RRCB116). This Luka stamp I've had for seven or eight years and I've only used it a couple of times, but it is so cute! Their challenge was tic-tac-toe so I chose Texture, Ribbon, and Romance. Hope you enjoy!

Just A Little Smile

Hello Again! I'm back with a second card today. For this one I wanted to try out some different techniques that I haven't used in a while. I started with a white card base and used paper piericng to add a minimalistic border. The roses were created using the MFT Spiral Rose dies. I tried to add pearls to the centers but they are pretty hard to see. The colors were inspired by this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!

I love this "Just A Little Smile" sentiment from the Stampin' Up Paper Pumpkin kits. I think it's perfect for those Just Because/Thinking of You cards. Hope you enjoy!

Summer Dragonflies

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted anything and to be honest, it's been a while since I've created anything. It was great to get back into crafting this week though as I'm home from college for the summer! I created this card for the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge this week. The main focus of the card is the Scroll Dragonfly die by Serendipity which I can't get enough of.
I reworked this card a couple of times trying to get back into my mojo, but I'm finally happy with the way it turned out. I hope you enjoy!

Hope you enjoy!

Color Throwdown Card

Hi all!  Well, I got into a really crafty mood the other day and was inspired by the latest                     Color Throwdown challenge.  I made this card using the La La Land heart fence and string of hearts dies as well as Watering can Marci.

So go check out the Color Throwdown challenge!
